According to Variety, the original cast of the iconic '90s sitcom The Nanny is reuniting next week for a virtual table read of the series' original pilot episode. The show's star confirmed the news with an enthusiastic Instagram post showcasing the cast rehearsing via a Zoom video call.
"NANNY FANS ALERT! It's happening!!!! MONDAY 4/6 the original cast of The Nanny together AGAIN in a virtual read of the pilot episode!!! Link and time soon!" revealed Drescher via the post.
Last week, the actress hinted that she was planning something special for fans when she tweeted she had a "surprise" in the works for the show's devout fan base. Some fans were speculating that they would receive an announcement regarding the complete series finally heading to a major streaming platform, since for now, only the first two seasons of the show are available on Roku. This cast reunion news, however, might just be the only gift fans would have wanted more.
