High tea with the Nanny
More than 1,400 people had high tea with a Nanny today to raise funds to fight women's cancer.
TV star Fran Drescher, best known for the series The Nanny, spoke at the 22nd annual Guardian Angel benefit for Manitoba CancerCare.
Drescher said she saw eight doctors in two years before she was diagnosed with uterine cancer.
Now Drescher — cancer-free for more than a decade - is urging people to remove chemicals from their bodies and homes.
"I want to make 'detox your home' the 'don't drink and drive' of the 21st century," she said in an interview with the Free Press.
