Online Meditation Seminar - Part VII
- Relax... This may be the hardest part of meditation; to relax. Regardless of what occurs during your meditation practice, do not stress about it. Just go with it and don't judge your experience. Meditation is what it is. Your job is to simply do the best you can at the time.
- Try not to eat before you sit to meditate. A full stomach will distract serve as both a mental and physical distraction. Wait at least a couple hours after eating before you attempt meditation
- Aim to sit in meditation for at least fifteen minutes. For most people, it normally takes about five to ten minutes for the mind to settle down. So try not to cut your meditation short, otherwise the session has ended before you even have a chance to get into it.
